Sony Pictures Entertainment recently released the first official trailer of A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, which is based on the story of late Mr. Fred Rogers.
A beautiful day in the Neighborhood is inspired by the real-life friendship between Fred Rogers (Tom Hanks) and a cynical journalist Tom Junod (Matthew Rhys) who interviewed the very well known TV host back in the day.
The trailer shows Tom Hanks perfectly cast as Mr. Fred Rogers the iconic TV host who hosted “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood” for 31 seasons. The show ended its run in 2001 and two years later he passed away.
The trailer shows some wise words exchanged during Rogers’ (Tom Hanks) interview to Junod (Matthew Rhys) and one of the best lines of Rogers in the trailer is,
“I think the best thing we can do is to let people know that each one of them is precious.”
Marielle Heller has directed the film and we hope the director would be able to recreate the magic of “Can You Ever Forgive Me” and “The Diary of the Teenage Girl.”
The film also stars Susan Kelechi Watson and Chris Cooper while Micah Fitzerman-Blue and Noah Harpster have written the script.
