Disney is Rebooting the long-forgotten Inspector Gadget!
Disney is working on a new live-action movie based on the old 1980s animated series Inspector Gadget. It revolves around a clumsy cyborg police inspector, who fights the bad guys, and somehow solves the cases.
Matthew Broderick played Inspector Gadget in the two previous live-action Disney movies with Rupert Everett portraying Claw. The character became famous in the 80s due to Don Adams who lent his voice in the original cartoon.
It must be noted that it was an inspired version of Get Smart, where Don Adams played the lead, Maxwell Smart.
The story of the upcoming flick has been penned down by Mikey Day and Streeter Seidell, best known for writing script of Saturday Night Live.
The producers of Aladdin will oversee the reboot and we cannot be more excited. Moreover, Day and Seidell are busy going forward with Inspector Gadget, in addition, they also have to reboot Home Alone that is being developed for Disney+.
