Article 370 is a short film that highlights the atrocities committed by the Indian Army on Kashmiris!
On August 5, 2020, Pakistanis have observed Youm-e-Istehsal all over the country in support of Kashmir that has marked the one-year anniversary of being stripped away by the annexation of Article 370 and 35A.
Ibrahim Baloch has paid tribute to the Kashmiris by his short film Article 370 to show his support and highlight the matter to be taken seriously as Kashmir is under siege from the past year.
The short film completely shows the brutal circumstances under which the Kashmiris are living from one year also highlight how they have to go through with their daily activities in the lockdown situation.
Article 370 released yesterday on YouTube the short film is directed and written by Ibrahim Baloch and while promoting his film he shared with the press saying:
“I started following the situation in Kashmir after India announced its decision and realized that it was primarily debated from a political perspective, I was more interested in the human side of the issue. So after doing some research, I came across stories of Kashmiri women in Srinagar who gave birth during the lock-down imposed by the Indian administration.”
The actress Mariyam Nafees who is playing the main lead also shared:
“This film depicts the reality and current situation of Jammu and Kashmir. The twenty-minute visuals in the movie that show the suffering of a family in the region are full of human emotions. Projects like these are not undertaken too often.”
The plot revolves around a married Kashmiri woman who is living in Indian Occupied Kashmir, whose life has been in shackles after the annexation of Article 370 from the Indian Constitution, hence the whole valley is under siege after the deed.
However, Pakistanis have observed Youm-e-Istehsal in solidarity with the Kashmiris, and even Pakistani filmmakers and producers are also helping in highlighting the matter through their creativity.
