The Marvel Cinematic Universe Heroes are ready to tackle James Cameron’s Sci-Fi Flick Avatar that currently stands at top of the world as the highest grossing film of all time.
Just when you thought that Avengers: Endgame’s game was ending, the Russo brothers decided to finally insert a Mid Credit and/or Post Credit sequence to get the audience back into the cinemas for the last time.
Avengers will assemble once again to topple Avatar from the charts by getting a re-release with new footage. The film that dominated the box office for weeks after its release on April 26, smashed all records with its worldwide opening. The film grossed not just $1 billion, but $2.5 billion in just its first 20 days.
The competition is close between the two in which Endgame grossed a total of $2,743.4 billion while James Cameron 3D blockbuster was totaled at $2,788.0. However, Endgame is expected to topple Avatar from the top of the chart with its re-release.
President of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige also gave the fans a piece of good news, that the new version will feature the additional footage in a post-credits scene.
Feige further elaborated,
“Not an extended cut, but there will be a version going into theaters with a bit of a marketing push with a few new things at the end of the movie,” Feige said of Avengers: Endgame 1.5. “If you stay and watch the movie, after the credits, there’ll be a deleted scene, a little tribute, and a few surprises. Which will be next weekend.”
Moreover, fans cannot wait to see their favorite heroes back on the big screen on June 28, so don’t forget to reach out your nearby cinemas.
