Whodunit Knives Out to have a sequel!
Knives Out was not just a brilliant flick but also introduced a brand new detective to the audience. Daniel Craig’s Benoit Blanc will be back in another flick, and we can’t be any happier. What makes it all the more interesting is the fact that the writer/director Rian Johnson will helm the sequel as well.
The runaway hit’s sequel will feature a new mystery
What made critics and audience love Knives Out was its tribute to Agatha Christie-esque murder mystery genre, and also Daniel Craig’s stunning performance. The soon-to-be-former James Bond actor played a skilled sleuth Benoit Blanc who solves the murder of a wealthy crime novelist (Christopher Plummer). It seems that the writer/director is working on developing the story for the sequel that would focus on Benoit Blanc. That means we’ll be treated to an entirely new mystery, and a new cast of characters in the next chapter.
Why Knives Out sequel is a good idea…
Knives Out was made on a modest budget and has been in cinemas for over six weeks now. It also kick-started the dead murder mystery genre and revived it with a classic mystery set in modern times. It would also help Daniel Craig who will soon be appearing in his final James Bond flick and would need a character that would showcase his acting talent more than his physical one.
