DC’s The Flash Has A Release Date … Again!
Two years is a lot of time, especially for The Flash!
Marvel Cinematic Universe might be growing bigger with the release of every movie, but DC isn’t far behind. The makers behind Justice League have now put The Flash on top of their priority list. Ever since his appearance in Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice, fans have been waiting for Ezra Miller’s Flash standalone flick. It seems their wait is over and The Flash will debut on the silver screen on July 1, 2022.
For a superhero who can go back and forth in time, The Flash’s debut seems light-years away. According to Warner Bros., the film will be directed by IT director Andy Muschietti while Birds of Prey screenwriter Christina Hodson will pen the script. The date also matches Ezra Miller’s schedule since he’s all set to reprise his role of Credence Barebone in Fantastic Beasts 3 that will hit cinemas next year.
Will The Flash go the right way or follow The Green Lantern
Although they were the pioneer in superhero films, DC projects haven’t done as well as Marvels. Ever since the Green Lantern fiasco, they have delivered fewer hits than flops. However, after the success of standalone origin stories – including Aquaman and Wonder Woman, DC seems to have gotten it right for the first time. With the success of Joker, DC is back in the game and it would be interesting to see which way The Flash moves.
