The Fast & Furious franchise is the most popular movie worldwide and the new addition Hobbs & Shaw takes the franchise to the next level. The film is crazy from word to go as the audience can see the amazing car chases and unbelievable stunts, all in one.
Hobbs & Shaw follows Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) and Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham)’s latest adventure where they get to save a family member. The two former adversaries also meet their match in the shape of Cyber Enhanced villain (Idris Elba) who wants to take over the world.
The pair works together as both of them have their own ways to tackle the situation. The duo hooks the audience to the screen from the start as Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) and Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) perfect their acting and fighting styles to complement each other. Vanessa Kirby makes an amazing entry as the oh so kick-ass sister of Shaw, which gave a good humorous twist in the film.
It was a treat to watch when both of them have to go after the villain to stop him from destroying the world. Their snappy remarks to each other were everything a fan required to enjoy in a film.
Director David Leitch did a very good job in portraying perfect car stunts, plus hand-to-hand combat with some of the slow-motion shots. The action in the movie is a stylistic delivered, The film has good humor, action and car chase making it a better addition to the Fast and Furious franchise.
However, the storyline was ranged from generic to downright stiff, with some of the overdramatic speeches, which doesn’t connect emotionally with audiences.
Issues aside, Hobbs and Shaws is a perfect Pop Corn movie for a moviegoer for this Eid holidays to enjoy its time in cinema.
