Hollywood actor George Clooney has been roped in to star and direct a feature film based on Lily Dalton’s “Good Morning, Midnight”. The film discusses the situation of the post-apocalyptic world and will be streamed on Netflix.
The film story revolves around a lonely scientist Augustine (George Clooney) in the Arctic and an astronaut on board the Aether spacecraft, which was trying to return home to the planet (Earth). Augustine (George Clooney) tries his level best to make a contact with the spaceship and whether he saves it or not, remains to be seen.
Mark L. Smith is the one to pen down the screenplay for the sci-fi thriller with Clooney; Smoke House Pictures’ Grant Heslov will produce alongside Anonymous Content and Syndicate Entertainment.
George Clooney shared his excitement,
“Grant and I couldn’t be more excited to be involved with this incredible project. Mark is a writer we’ve long admired and his script is haunting. We’re thrilled to be working with our friends at Netflix as well.”
Additionally, Scott Stuber, head of Netflix film division shared,
“Having known and worked with George for over two decades, I can’t think of anyone better to bring this amazing story to life. The book is powerful and moving, and Mark’s adaptation is beautifully written. At its core, this is a story about human nature, and one that I know our global audiences will fall in love with, just like I did when I read it.”
The film is expected to go on the floors in October.
