Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker will give you the chills!

Don’t watch Joaquin Phoenix Joker, it is a waste of time and intelligence, someone said to me before I bought the ticket. What they didn’t say was that after watching the film, you will remain under its spell, questioning others and having a different perspective.

Watch the film to be devastated by Joker, not with the character’s intense madness and violence. The vision and artistry of the film will stir emotions like never before and will make you sympathize with the lead character. You will eventually hate the character but not without sympathizing with it. The whole film tackles the psychological effect of violence as pop art with a lot of dark humor and wins the audience.

The film clearly defines the roots of the famous Batman villain also the known Clown Prince of Crime. Born Arthur Fleck (Joaquin Phoenix) he is mentally unstable and a social reject. Arthur goes onto become a supervillain from being a stand-up comedian. He is shown as someone who is constantly abused and assaulted during his day job as a Clown and fails to make people laugh when he tries his hand as a comedian.

However, the cruelty of Gotham broke him apart as he finds peace by wreaking havoc and taking over the city in his nihilistic manner.

Perfectly directed by Todd Phillips, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Scott Silver., Joker is a not to be missed affair. This is his origin story and somehow, is linked with Batman, his arch-nemesis.

Joaquin Phoenix does a great job while portraying Arthur Fleck and should be nominated for Academy Awards. He perfectly portrays the traumatic life of the sadistic clown who turns against the world.

Jack Nicholson and Heath Ledger also played Joker but their backstory didn’t cover their trauma. However, Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker answers all your questions about the infamous character.

If all of this still won’t make you watch the film, I don’t know what will because it has all the ingredients of a psychological thriller packed in one.
