Scarlet Johnsson almost lost her role to Emily Blunt!
Scarlet Johnsson is popularly known for her amazing role as one of Marvel’s superheroes ‘Black Widow.’
Recently she herself disclosed in a recent interview that she was initially rejected for the role and it almost went to Emily Blunt.
“I was really excited to work with him. So I said, ‘If this doesn’t work out, I’m an actor for hire, so call me anytime.’”
However, Emily Blunt couldn’t be a part of due to scheduling issues and the universe was also rooting for Scarlet Johnsson to play the amazing assassin.
“The best call you can receive is after you are rejected for something and then you get it. You appreciate it more. I’ve basically made a career out of being the second choice.”
Not only that Emily was again taken into consideration for the role of Peggy Carter in Captain America but also once again, she declined due to her schedule conflicts.
She further stated:
“It’s the iconic hero shot. We were all thinking, ‘This is crazy!’ because these worlds were coming together. We’re still processing how much of an impact these movies have had.”
Now she is all set to be seen in the Marvel’s upcoming Black Widow prequel that was scheduled for a May release but it has been delayed till November due to the coronavirus pandemic.
