
‘The Donkey King’ Gets Amazon Prime Release In English
The Donkey King is now available for the US & UK audience on Amazon Prime Video in English dubbing.
Aziz Jindani’s masterpiece, ‘The Donkey King’, which became Pakistan’s highest-grossing animated movie, is now set to win the hearts of the US & UK audience as its English version is now available exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
The movie was released two years back in 2018 in Pakistan and became an instant hit. The movie grossed Rs25 crore at Pakistan’s box office and became the most successful animated feature film of Pakistan.
One can tell about the success of the movie that has already been released in local languages of 10 countries including Russia, Spain, Turkey, Korea, and Ukraine amongst others. A Pakistani movie achieving such recognition is a rare occurrence and highlights the quality of Jindani’s creation.
Not only that, the movie recently had its television premiere for the Pakistani audience, and it wasn’t a surprise in seeing it smash all viewership records and become the most-watched television premiere in Pakistan’s history.
According to the maker of Donkey King, Aziz Jindani, he is pleased with the movie’s reception around the globe and highlights that when you build your content on universal truths & insights than it can transcend language and geography barriers.
His film is already been dubbed in 10 different languages but still seeing the English version of his film felt so good to him that he forgot Urdu was the original language of the movie.
The movie’s story is based around Mangu, a donkey, who by chance becomes a king. The unusual story of Mangu’s journey highlights several universal insights and truths. This is the main reason that it has not only garnered critical acclaims locally but also penetrated the global markets successfully. And has opened great avenues for the Pakistani industry.
