Warner Bros and MGM finally revealed the release date of Alicia Vikander’s sequel of Tomb Raider.
According to sources, the action-adventure Tomb Raider will release on March 19, 2021. Ben Wheatley will be taking over from Norwegian filmmaker Roar Uthaug and will direct the second installment in the rebooted franchise.
Ben Wheatley is known as the director of Free Fire and High Rise and a lot is expected from him.
Alicia Vikander is all set to reprise her role of Lara Croft, the iconic globe-trotting explorer based on the famous video game character that became a global phenomenon.
The fans are very much excited to see their favorite video game’s upcoming movie and Lara Croft as the top iconic character of a trotted adventure. The first part of the movie grossed $275 million worldwide.
The previous part of the movie was released in 2018 in which heir Lara went out in search of her missing father. The film earned a lot of acclaims and grossed $216.4 million worldwide.
The Free Fire writer Amy Jump has penned the sequel. More details of the cast and plot are yet to be announced.
